now add the shockwave training onto the end of that and your looking at 40% increase at a proffesional level!

looking for fighters in the uk to try a new MMA punch

Hi guys, I’m Karl Eastwood, and I’ve got a REAL fascination with power punching, which I also teach. I decided to take a closer look at the MMA punching style, because it was different to the style I was using, I realised that the boxing gloves really restrict the power you’re punching with, because of the thumb position compared to mma gloves. So I’ve been developing a punch that’s new to mma, and it can’t be taught or thrown in modern Boxing or Muay Thai gloves. It’s been developed specifically for the MMA glove, and its ready to GO, Your looking at up to a 40% improvement of a standard MMA punch at a professional level , less effort to throw, significantly more powerful, with less chance of a boxers fracture. So I’m looking for some MMA fighters from the UK to test/train this style for free. I’m based in Hawarden near Chester, and I’m offering free private lessons and free video downloads to a select few. I’m willing to send out a few downloads across the water as well All I ask is that if you get a free download you genuinely spend a few months training the techniques and let me know what you think. You can contact me here instinctivecombatives@hotmail.co.uk

heres some clips explaining the punch

BOXING GLOVES V MMA GLOVES

WHY MMA FIGHTERS AREN'T USING THE MOST POWERFUL PUNCH for MMA GLOVES
it amazes me in this day and age that something so simple could be missed, landing with the inside of the middle knuckle is up to 40% harder than than and standard boxing punch, and because MMA fighters train in the fixed thumb boxing gloves. They miss out on the most powerful punches, even without the kinetic chain a two knuckle punch will always be more powerful than a three knuckle punch, because its a smaller area,a one knuckle punch will always be more powerful than a two knuckle punch,I teach a punching area the size of a pencil, less than one knuckle,in boxing gloves your teaching to use the whole hand to hit the whole head, with a much weaker kinetic chain,A kinetic punch, kinetically links all the chains resulting in more powerful strike thats faster and uses much less energy

stronger than the average MMA punch

I've got the first DVD finished off, from my new  DVD set and here's a couple of clips.
"advanved kinetic chain punching for professional mma"
I've just starting filming part two, this DVD sets is going to be very special,Im releasing them singly as well as in a set,the first one will be out soon. in this new clip first im throwing a left straight, showing the difference in power when you line up your knuckles with the kinetic chain with the kinetic MMA punch compared to the standard MMA straight, which is thrown with the outside or three knuckles, like you do in boxing gloves, but if you've read here before you'll know the kinetic punch cannot be learnt or thrown in modern boxing gloves, then with the kinetic left straight I put the three shockwaves on the end, showing the difference in power and concussion,we then move into the garage, where Im doing a demonstration of a left Cross (the cross has more of a curve and has a bit more power, than the straight) Again, I run through the three shockwaves. The light, deep and ripping snap or shock,These can also be trained on knees elbows etc.

kettle bells and the kinetic chain

I found this interesting clip on the tube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayy-KRLpOlI

they talk about using the kinetic chain in a wave and a rotational twist and of course the breath to finish the power, which is exactly right.one of the exercises ive found most beneficial for learning the wave part of the punch or strike or throw is the kettle bell swing. very basic, but when you add a few basic rules,it can change the game and benefit you much more.I like to use restricted breath swings, this means you can only once each time you swing the kettlebell, the breath is also used along with the kinetic chain through the hips,to send the energy into the bell at once with the breath, its this kinetic energy that sends the kettlebell up to the crest of the swing, you relax your body completely(apart from holding your core) and let it swing back between your legs,as it swing forward again only exhaling the breath and driving the kineic chain through the hips and into the weight in one short movement.heres an older clip of me doing some swings, anyone asking for a straight back will notice i have a curve in mine, that is hereditary, but if you can you should keep a straight back and look foward.this is superb for learning the kinetic chain

Dennis Jones Quote about boxing and punching in the street

Heres dennis talking about his style of fighting in the street and why it differs from boxing
"It's not about punching' how I punch' being used in the ring, it's about defending yourself on the street.  Fundamentally, without gloves, without bandage wraps and no rules every boxer from a school boy to a world champion brawls on the street-you can even see that when boxers 'go for it' at a weigh in!  No boxer I've ever seen street fighting, fights like they train in a boxing gym and certainly don't fight in the same way that they do in a ring.  Something as simple as grabbing a boxer's left wrist will not only muck up his left jab but also his straight right punch-he'll end up swinging his right hand at your face as he tries punching over or through his own left arm!

I've seen lots of boxers street fight, from good amateurs, semi pros, pros and even a world champion and they all brawl, admittedly some a lot better than others. I first start boxing as a school boy and remember talking to my trainer when I was 17.  He was a Second World War veteran, about 50 years of age and an ex pro who at the end of his career spent his time taking on all-comers in fair ground booth boxing. I was talking about using boxing in the street. His fatherly advice was 'boxing can be helpful but be careful there are some really good fighters out there that don't box...'  It's a flaw of thinking to think that all street brawlers are just idiots.  In my experience a lot of 'handy street fighters, were boxers who had adapted their techniques, based on personal experience, for the street.  They upped their game and were not adverse to grabbing, grappling, sticking both the nut and boot in and gouging and biting!

I don't know what America is like. I only knew one bloke who worked out there, in LA, for about five years as a bouncer.  So his comment to me - he only had one physical altercation in five years - that: 'a lot of guys mouth off but don't fight because it's too dangerous to', (...because of the amount of guns around the place), might only be his experience and not typical of America in general.  I don't know but I do know that 'An armed society is a polite society'.  And as we know the best unarmed fighter in the world is no match for a 10st idiot armed with a gun, even .22 caliber revolver!  Joe Frazier carried a hand gun for self protection and if such a distinguish boxer felt a need to have a handgun...so speculating what works or doesn't work on the streets for unarmed self defense seems to me to be purely speculative for a lot of Americans, especially as their society has written in its Constitution...The Right to Bear Arms... review " I attended Karl's first class at the Insanity Extreme gym in Connah's quay, with my wife Karen, and we both thought it was really good. The gym itself is well laid out and equipped, and I think everyone who was there using the gym at the time joined the class to see what it was about.
Karl gave a short talk about his approach to self defense, and then provided a brief introduction to some of the striking techniques he teaches.
Me and Karen are both looking forward to future classes." R Murphy

George Foreman On Tyson & Hardest Punchers

George is talking about a type of concussive explosive punching power thats very rare in its natural form, ive only felt 5 people punch with what I would call this type of power, but these 5 people all trained specifically for it or just developed it throuth training harder than anyone else. The kinetic punch and the shockwaves I teach give you this sort of power hes talking abvout heres an example.
This type of strike becomes much more important when your looking at self defence and being able to stun or stop an attacker quickly that could be much bigger than you,so you  can safely escape, this type of punch is also not seen in MMA ,one of the main reasons is modern Boxing gloves dont allow you to land with the part of the knuckle that gives you this sort of power MMA gloves and bare knuckle do and thats what I teach

Heres a recent review from Ireland

"Hi Karl,

Really enjoyed your Dvd's. Would have to say, based on practicality, concise explanations and what I would consider to be effective that your Dvds top any that I have previously bought.
Would love the opportunity to over and train with you.

Please tell me that you have other training materials available that I can buy to learn more.  I am already getting my bits and pieces together to start training my shockwave training.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
P****"
