First MMA kinetic punching Class went Great

The first class at the hustle gym was a real success,
I felt that I managed to get across the main points for the first lesson really well. I’ve already got three of the fighters taking privates as well. It’s amazing how much quicker athletes pick up your techniques and run with them, as opposed to teaching non athletes self defence .What really interests me is the fights, to me the fight is the test of the fighters own personal training, but also the person who’s teaching them. Because if the student isn’t using the techniques you’re teaching in the fight, you’re doing something wrong.

I’m looking forward to the look on the opponents face when one of my students lands the first kinetic punch, the difference in concussive force when you compare a standard MMA punch is significant and these guys simply aren’t going to be used to feeling that much force, imagine if you’re a counter fighter and your used to taking shots to give shots. I’m expecting this to be similar to what you see with say  Edson Barboza and his kicks. Some people have just never felt that much raw concussive power from his kicks and it has been totally overwhelming for some of his opponents. The kinetic punch can replace your entire set of standard MMA punches with a stronger kinetic version designed specifically for MMA gloves, like the jab cross, hook etc. this comes down to the thumb position in bigger gloves. Boxing or Thai gloves teach you one way to throw a punch, but don’t allow you to land in a fully kinetic position like MMA gloves do. But Boxing and Muay Thai is just as important to get in the right position to deliver these strikes. along with the stronger positioning taught for the kinetic punch,  the concussive training and techniques use to increase your punching effectiveness, Can also be used to increase the effectiveness of all your strikes, from hammer fist to elbows, knees and kicks.

the Hustle gym is a great set up and well worth a visit heres a link http://www.hustlegym.co.uk/
